Dave, Amar, the Hummels, and I went to Paradise for a hike. We brought skis for some reason. The snow was horrid. Worse than horrid. Here's a pic:
We quit at 9k. Jason and I skied very bumpy but otherwise good snow for about 200 yards. Then everything turned to gravel in ice. And I walked down to save my skis.
I took a 'video' (warning: mildly offensive language, but it was wholly conditions-appropriate).
Luckily we had a nice hike. And October is bound to be far better.
