This was the annual, special fall trip to Muir that marks the transition from summer to winter. The warm sun can't quite mask the onset of Fall, the foliage above Paradise is changing color, and the first significant snowfall of the year has been massaged by the sun, producing acres and acres of smooth, buttery corn. The yellow globe in the sky is too low for summer, and there's a hint of coolness in the air foreshadowing the months to come. Here's to Fall.
